If you are buying a gift and do not know, choose 50 × 60 in. It is the standard throw size and covers one adult on a couch from shoulders to shins. The other two sizes exist for specific spots.
The three sizes on real furniture

A quick way to check
- Measure the seat depth plus back height of the couch or chair. Most sofas come out around 40 in.
- Add the height of the person from shoulder to ankle when they are sitting with legs stretched out. Usually 50 to 60 in.
- If the total is under 60, the 50 × 60 works. Over 60, go to 60 × 80.
How the print scales
The crest scales with the blanket. It stays centered and covers the same share of the fabric on every size, so a 30 × 40 and a 60 × 80 look like the same design at two magnifications rather than a small badge on a big field. What changes is the absolute size of the artwork: on the 60 × 80 the crest is about twice as wide as it is on the 30 × 40. The photos on each product page show all three on the same bed, which is the easiest way to judge it.
