The blanket
What is velveteen?
A short-pile woven polyester with a smooth, dense surface. It is softer and flatter than fleece and less shaggy than minky. Ours weighs about 300 g/m², which is medium weight: warm on a couch, not heavy on a lap.
Is the back printed?
No. The crest is printed on one side. The back is plain white velveteen.
How big is the crest on the blanket?
It sits centered, with white velveteen around it. The crest scales with the blanket, so it covers the same share of the fabric on every size. In absolute terms it is about twice as wide on the 60 × 80 as on the 30 × 40. Each product page has a photo of all three sizes on the same bed.
Will cat hair stick to it?
Some will, like any blanket. It comes off with a lint roller, or shake it out and wash it cold.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold on gentle, tumble dry low or hang. No bleach, no iron, no dry cleaning. The print is dyed into the fibers, so it does not crack or peel. The full guide is on the Size & Care page.
Which size should I pick?
50 × 60 in is the standard throw and the most common gift choice. 30 × 40 in is a lap blanket. 60 × 80 in covers a twin bed or two people on a couch. See the size table.
The tee
Is the tee artwork the same as the blanket?
No. The Real Men Love Cats tee carries its own drawing, a laughing man in a red plaid shirt surrounded by nine cats. The blanket of the same name shows a sleeping man with four gray tabbies. They share the phrase on the ribbon and nothing else.
What size do I take in the tee?
It is a classic unisex fit from S to 5XL. We have not measured the garments ourselves, so email support@silkcrowns.com with the size you are considering and we will get the chest and length figures from the print partner.
Ordering
Is it made to order?
Yes. Every item is printed after you order it. Production takes 3–5 business days.
Is there a daily cut-off?
Yes. Orders placed after 4:00 PM PT are processed the next business day.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Yes, until it goes to print, usually within 24 hours of ordering. Email support@silkcrowns.com with your order number.
Can I ship it to someone else as a gift?
Yes. Enter their address at checkout. Prices are not printed on the packing slip.
Shipping
How long does it take?
3–5 business days to print, then 8–12 business days in transit. Most orders arrive within 11–17 business days.
What does shipping cost?
$7.95 for orders under $60. Free for orders of $60 and up. One rate per order.
Where does it ship from?
From our print partner's facility closest to you, which for US orders is usually in the United States. Not from our Albuquerque office. Details in the Shipping Policy.
Do you ship outside the US?
No. We ship to all 50 states, Washington DC, US territories, and military APO, FPO, and DPO addresses only.
Will I get tracking?
Yes, by email when the order leaves the print facility.
Returns and exchanges
Can I return it?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery, whether it arrived defective or you simply changed your mind. We email you a prepaid label and pay the return shipping. No restocking fee. Details in Returns & Refunds.
Can I exchange it for another size or color?
Yes. We accept exchanges, including a different size or color, or a different design. Say so in your email and we print the replacement instead of refunding you.
What condition does it need to be in?
New and unused, with tags and original packaging.
Where do returns go?
To 19206 68th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032, using the label we send. Not to the print facility and not to our Albuquerque office, which takes mail only.
What if it arrives damaged or wrong?
Email 2 photos within 30 days. We replace it or refund it, your choice, and you keep the damaged one unless we ask for it back.
How fast is the refund?
Within 7 business days after your return arrives at our returns center. Your bank decides when it shows on your statement.
